My entry for the AIDS Mythbusters Contest.
I believe that most of the faces in this photo portray a myth about AIDS but the only face I remember from when I took this photo is the one of the kid. His face is everything I need to see each time I hear an HIV and AIDS misconception.
MYTH-AIDS can be spread through casual contact with an HIV infected individual
MYTH-HIV can infect only homosexual men and drug users
MYTH-An HIV-infected mother cannot have children
MYTH-There is no AIDS in Africa. AIDS is nothing more than a new name for old diseases
